I'm still most impressed by Arlen Marshall, first gig and getting handed Sandy and still pulling off a current .500 (ECAC-W) and .605 overall is IMO very impressive (not mentioning having to work with some guy from Oswego).

Re: Top rookies this year 2013

Im not sure if he qualifies as a rookie since he is a Sophomore transfer from Colgate (0 minutes played) but I'd include Bowdoin's Max Fenkell in this discussion. He has only played 7 games but in he is 6-0-1 and top 10 in the country in both SV% (940) and GAA (1.84). He also had a 38 save shutout at Middlebury.

Yep Fenkell has played well for Bowdoin and should get at least 3 more games before the playoffs. Not clear why but Junior Steve Messina has played all the Tuesday OOC games.

Freshman defenseman Gabe Renaud has also played well. Definitely the Bowdoin Frosh who gets the most ice-time, usually paired with Senior Captain McGarry. Plays the body well but mainly stays out of the box, an important feature when working with McGarry. Not much scoring yet from Renaud though.

I think micheal Collins from EC is having a good year 22 points in 21 games this year 8 goals 14 assists

Norwich's best rookie is swedish defenseman Erik Lyrvall. Big body, mobile, good stick. If he adds a little more physical aspect to his game he'll be one stud dman.

If coach keeps Collins, tenVannholt and Whittle on the same line next year, they are going to post some really good numbers together.
