1.) Cornell : difference between poll and RPI = 12 (43rd SOS ?? ouch)
2.) UND : difference between poll and RPI = 7
3.) Yale : difference between poll and RPI = 7
4.) UML : difference between poll and RPI = 7
5.) Notre Dame : difference between poll and RPI = 6

Here are my votes, simply comparing USCHO ranking against RPI rating. ECAC teams appear most overrated.
Interesting to note that other than UMLowell, the HE teams in or near top 20 are the most underrated.
Top 5 Team Rank (12/14) RPI (as of 12/22) Difference
1 Cornell 4 16 +12
2 NorthDakota 6 13 +7
3 Yale 9 15 +6
4 UMassLowell 13 19 +6
5 NotreDame 20 26 +6
and just below top 5:
6 Alaska 17 21 +4

Who starts a "top 5 overrated teams this year" thread and then names three teams? Why isn't it a "top 3 overrated teams this year" thread? Was this numbskull just lazy or was he pretty sure there were 5 top overrated teams and he couldn't think of the other two?

Almost never? Feels like never? And I'd say beating last year's Maine team is nothing to crow about, but I watched UNH lose to Niagara the first game after break...

hey, they have reason, they are, after all, by far the most penalized team in the WCHA. so, either they are a bunch of Canadian hacks and thugs, or the refs are really unfair. take your pick. either way, their fans sure do whine a lot.
