Amsoil is too highly rated. Atmosphere is only good when the team is good, they're playing a good local team and UMD is winning. I know the guy that wrote the report and I think he gave too much value to a few categories. How they came up with that list? I don't follow.

If you read the review on World Arena it was the reviewers first college hockey game ever, and she included the positive note that both teams had pretty colors on their uniforms. Pretty sure that says all you need to know about the list.

Each venues score is the average # of stars the reviewer gives each category. I don't know how they broke ties. As I mentioned, I mainly posted this because I was amused the Amsoil was #1 and knew that people would get worked up. The site is a good resource though, if you're travelling to an arena or want to see a few pics. BTW Agganis got a 4.0, Conte 3.4 and Cameron Indoor a 4.1

I'm wondering why it calls out the Kohl Center for just hockey. I would think the basketball atmosphere in that place would be better since the have a better basketball team so why did they get left out?

Different reviewers, and the hockey game reviewer gave 5 stars for the "Fans" and "atmosphere" categories and 4 stars in "extras." The basketball reviewer gave 4, 4, and 3 respectively.

A number of venues have multiple reviews, based upon the event it's hosting. It makes sense because most venues are best suited for one event while only being able to accommodate others.

But the Kohl Center is supposed to be better suited for African Hand Ball! :p
