I've been away for a couple of days...who did UMass end up hiring?

What, like a video of him saying those words? No. It is, however, a fact that Cahoon has let it be known how little support the Amherst administration has provided the hockey program. If you choose to believe that the 20 or so people linked to the UMass coaching job have all decided they want no part of this organization for another reason, that's your business. You'd be wrong, but that's your business.
OK, so what is holding up the Carlson announcement? Seems like it should be a done deal by now.
He's got a guy on the other line asking about some white walls.

Oy. My wife works in development for UMass, and this fiasco is trickling down to her. Lots of folks unhappy but unsurprised by this hatchet job.
So, in other words, you have no evidence and it's all speculation on your part. Glad to see we're on the same page. What, like a video of him saying those words? Toot is free to speak his mind. However, I think he's a class act and wouldn't go and sabotage a program on his way out the door. I think he cares too much about the team which he honestly built from the ground up. I also think he has too much respect for his players and the fans to do this. But what do I know? I'm just a guy who went to UMass and enjoyed attending college hockey games. I've heard interviews he's given, read stuff about him and I met him once which have led me to believe he wouldn't "Salt the Earth" on his way out the door. I obviously not his best friend and don't know him personally, so maybe I'm wrong.if I had a friend or knew a good person who was going into a job that wasn't going to help them or be good for them then I'd tell them. I would have nothing wrong with Toot saying, if it happens to be the case, the state of UMass hockey as he sees it. If he's a good guy he should be able to divorce what he's seen and what he's been told and how he reacted from the bigger picture. I'm sure somebody like him won't be down on the fans, won't be down on the workers, etc.
I don't know that's what's going on... who knows.
He has a good gig and is part owner. I'm not as surprised by this as I was by the other two.

You might as well be talking to the wall on the other side of the room. Facts is facts. So, in other words, you have no evidence and it's all speculation on your part. Glad to see we're on the same page.
Just when I was going to ask what is wrong with U MassBREAKING: The new UMass head coach will be HAL 9000. Deep Blue will assist; recruiting will be handled by the WOPR.
Vermont assistant allegedly UMass head coach now. I'm not bothering to learn his name because I think it's only a matter of time before he withdraws his name or renews with Vermont or something.
They announced him today at a press conference. I still haven't learned his name. I guess I should get on that.
