Tom Anastos, it's time to resign

Most coaches probably find it unbelievable he was hired by a program like MSU in the first place and clinging to him probably gives off the impression that this athletic department could not care less about this program. Hiring a coach with 0 experience looks odd but holding on to said coac while more qualified people at lesser programs get axed for better performances looks as if this program is completely ignored.

Fired?...he's .500 in his last 2 games...the program has clearly turned the corner and the 10 year plan is right on schedule...don't forget that next years class is his best ever for the fourth straight year...I smell another extension...good lord what happened to his once great program..shameful

Re: Tom Anastos, it's time to resign

Nice guys unfortunately leave a program short of right-handed wingers for the next season. Especially if the BMOT goes pro early.
Tell me about it. I've met Mike Eaves quite a few times and he's always been energetic, interested, engaging, and kind. Especially the last few years...

You've got a couple really nice players to work with. Best of luck, Sparty.

Re: Tom Anastos, it's time to resign

Is it the recruiting, or the coaching that these guys failed at?

If I were to bake a pizza pie, I would say it would be 30% weekly preparation, 30% fundamentals/development, 20% of it in-game coaching, 10% roster management and 10% recruiting (this includes players who back out of their commitments). That last number is a smaller portion the last 3 seasons than before, imho.

Edit: The fundamentals/development topping is the "anchovies". I dunno, maybe you like anchovies.
