Zamboni troubles @ Westfield have pushed the 7:35 starting time back. They are warming up now.

Injury bug has hit the Vikings. Scratches for tonight are LaCour, Terreri, and Matt Genovese. All are day to day.

Jaslow - are you in Westfield?? The Zam is malfunctioning!

Now this is interesting, no zam came out after warm-ups, but the refs and the teams are on the ice! Just like 10:30 men's league!

Fitchburg State leads Worcester State 2-0, through two periods.

Fitchburg has had most of the offensive chances in the game. Kalczynski has made some good saves, but has been swamped with shots towards the goal (Fitchburg has attempted way more than 22 shots). Also, Pat Styckiewicz of the Lancers was thrown out for hitting Brett Provost from behind. The Falcons would score once on the subsequent major PP.

Fitchburg State defeats Worcester State 6-1.

Tim D'Orazio opened the scoring with a beautiful snipe from 40 feet to ruin Bobby Vorse's shutout. That was all of the offense that the Lancers had left. The rest of the period was all Falcons, in the tune of four goals.

Fitchburg finished 4/10 on the power play. The last two goals were at least 5x5, but were scored late when it was clear that Worcester was out of gas. Kalczynski played very well for the Lancers, but he got little help from his defense and little discipline from the rest of the team.

Fitchburg State improves to 12-4-1 (6-3-1 MASCAC), and will make their first trip to Hanaway Rink to take on Plymouth State on Saturday. Worcester State falls to 7-6-3 (4-5-3 MASCAC), and will play the uber-competitive Westfield State on Saturday.

Curry 3-1 over J&W. Good Game, Curry played a great third period and scored three goals: Barlock, Benning, and Atkinson. Brugman for Curry was all over the ice and had two assists. Owens in net improved to 7-1-1. Looks like Curry is starting to put it together. They move into first place with the win.
