ATHLETIC REPUBLIC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#77 KENDALL COYNE, NORTHEASTERN
(Sophomore Forward; Palos Heights, Ill.)
Coyne recorded a hat trick in Northeastern 4-1 victory against Union on Friday at Matthews Arena. All three of her goals came in the third period and in a span of seven minutes and 31 seconds. She finished the weekend with 12 shots on goal and a +2 rating for the Huskies.
PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
#9 SARAH LEFORT, BOSTON UNIVERSITY
(Freshman Forward; Ormstown, Que.)
Lefort scored one goal against Rensselaer and added two more against Union this past weekend to extend her goal-scoring streak to three games. Lefort ended the weekend with eight shots on goal and a +2 rating.
WHEA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#29 CHLOE DESJARDINS, NORTHEASTERN
(Sophomore Goaltender; Saint-Prosper, Beauce, Que.)
Desjardins recorded a 1.00 GAA and a .980 save percentage in two NU wins. She recorded her second career shutout against RPI on Saturday. She also recorded an assist on Friday against Union. She notched 48 saves over the weekend with 24 stops apiece in each contest.
WHEA TEAM OF THE WEEK
NORTHEASTERN HUSKIES
The Huskies earned two victories on the weekend against ECAC foes Union (4-1) and Rensselaer (1-0) at Matthews Arena. The Huskies went a perfect 10-for-10 on the penalty kill in the two games.
HOCKEY EAST WEEKLY TOP PERFORMERS
Nicole Anderson, PC (Sr., F, Jordan, Minn.) Notched one assist on the weekend in game against Mercyhurst.
Brittany Dougherty, Maine (Sr., F, Chesterfield, Mich.) Had two assists over the weekend against Quinnipiac, notching one assist in each game.
Molly Illikainen, PC (Fr., F, Grand Rapids, Minn.) Recorded one goal in the weekend series at No. 9 Mercyhurst.
Jenelle Kohanchuk, BU (Sr., F, Winnipeg, Man.) Scored her first goal of the season against Rensselaer and added two assists against Union.
Rebecca Morse, PC (Jr., D, Westfield, N.J.) Recorded her fourth straight point (1g) against No. 9 Mercyhurst on the weekend.
Marie-Philip Poulin, BU (Jr., F, Beauceville, Que.) Notched three assists in two games this past weekend, including two against Union.
Casey Pickett, NU (Sr., F, Wilmington, Mass.) Had a goal and an assist against Union.
Audra Richards, Maine (Fr., F, Maplewood, Minn.) Scored her first goal as a Black Bear in a 6-1 loss against Quinnipiac.
Meghann Treacy, Maine (Fr., G, Lake Peekskill, N.Y.) Posted 56 saves over the two game weekend against Quinnipiac.
Dakota Woodworth, BU (Fr., F, Carlisle, Mass.) He first collegiate goal proved to be the game-winner vs. RPI, and she scored Saturday vs. Union.

Kendall Coyne, NU (PALOS HEIGHTS, ILL.) recorded her second career hat trick on Friday against Union. It is NU's third hat trick in the last 14 games, dating back to last season

Sarah Lefort, BU (ORMSTOWN, QUE.) has scored a goal in three straight games
