This Time It's (Third) Personal - Michigan Tech at TheUMD, Nov. 12-13

Everyone keeps saying the MCONN circled back to get into Genoe's face....yet no one has brought up the fact that it is VERY possible that Genoe said something, in the form of trash talking to MCONN while he was skating to go celebrate with his teammates. You can't just assume that MCONN was not antagonized If that is the case, which it very well could be, because I personally noticed Genoe chirping a few times, then it is not all MCONN's fault.

I'm with the UMD people on the play in question. If you can't keep your composure in that situation, you shouldn't be on the ice. It is simply unacceptable to attack an opponent like that, and continue to do so after he was on the ice. Unacceptable. If I were coaching, Kattelus wouldn't touch the ice until after New Years.

If he didn't suck at hockey, I'd be all for him transferring to UND. The Sioux need more players who are willing to stand up and unneccessarily attack opposing players.

You could use him in practice to try to help implant those skills into the players that UND already has. He'd never have to actually dress for a game.

Yes, I understand trash talking goes on all the time, but in 15 years of watching DI and DIII hockey I have never seen a player circle back to a goaltender after a goal and stand face to face with him while the rest of his teammates are celebrating together. That coupled with the fact that UMD is a very good hockey team with possibly the best line in DI hockey(including #22) showed a total lack of class and sportsmanship. Guess the bottom line is, If you are that good, act like it.
Are you not that bright? Circled back? Um, 1st of all he was mugged in front with a no call cross check 5 seconds earlier, then he got up and screened your goalie on that shot. So he was already in front of your goalie, there was no circling back.

Also, once again, who cares what you have seen, your team had been thugging up 22 all night long and he is going to say his peace when UMD takes advantage of it. Deal with it baby.
