I believe what has happened in that fubar text is a string was being passed as an argument. It would have performed some operation, but it contained a set of characters that prematurely closed it, leaving a chunk of now non-interpretable instructions which the page decided to write to the output object -- in this case, your screen.

The aborted part is a segment of a conditional (if then else) chain, so somehow it severed that part, happily processed the front end of the (now incomplete) conditional, and left the mess for you to enjoy.

Agreed, things do seem a little bit better.

Still some slowdowns occasionally, but it's much better than it was. Thank you to whoever took a peek behind the scenes and fixed things back up.




And, I get that advertising pays the bills around here, but the suddenness of the change was pretty dramatic.

I'm grateful the ads are gone. The occasional slow downs can be annoying, but things are better now.

I just wish I could edit my signature.

Load times are pretty rough. Frequent refreshes are required just to be able to reply to threads or quote posts. Quick reply still gacks a bit.

Just logging some lingering defects here. ;)

Looks like most are gone.

I’m actually wondering if the way they were re-rendering everything seemingly multiple times every page load wasn’t putting a stress on the servers.

This... site is almost unusable for me this morning. Desktop, mobile, Tapatalk all extremely sluggish...

The new URL seems to have fixed many issues. Tapatalk is still using board.uscho.com however.

I mentioned this on a different thread. It's heaven. it's not for ads but for the photos accompanying news stories. You never have to see his ugly fat faced again.

Be sure to go to the Options after installation. You can add an infinite number of names so you can also kittify Pence, Pompeo, Graham, Kanye, the Kardashians, anybody you want.
