Technically, no, they're tool-assisted (edited using an emulator.) Commonly accepted practice among speedrunning types. Still a hell of a lot of work to sync up.
Remember that SMB3 run a while back that went viral? That was tool-assisted as well. There are quite a few genuine runs out there though.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of seeing crazy injuries and what not but at the same time I can't look away which is why I watch shows like Trauma: Life in the ER and Bizzare ER on Discovery Fit and Health. Stumbled across the Official Bizzare ER youtube page today. Be warned: If you are can not handle seeing blood or crazy injuries DO NOT go to that link and watch the videos (though I think that should really go without saying).
