Good for him. He backed up what he said he was going to do. He didn't cave like some other parents may have done. I'm very impressed with him not making the media rounds.

Honestly, if more parents were more like him, I think today's kids might end up for the better.

Yeah, that's what I want, more parents using guns to show their authority over their kids. More parents destroying things to send a message about who's in control. More parents posting video messages to the public in retaliation against their kid's misguided thinking.

The guy has the self-restraint of a hit-man, a vigilante, or a 19th century gun-slinger. That is not good parenting he is displaying--it's all about control. Unfortunately, his daughter will most likely adapt the same personality. She is a teen still learning how to think and act and he's displaying an absurd act of theater to make sure she knows he's got the power to psychologically and physically control and manipulate her life.

I got the wooden spoon after my parents said they were gonna use one if I did (insert act) again. Guess what? Never did (insert act) again. I learned there are consquences for my actions. And not something wimpy like a "time out."

Yep. I got whacked a few times for stupid stuff. I soon learned not to do stupid stuff.
