I think he will come back. The Vikings or some other team that is desperate for a QB will throw enough money at him to make him come back.
Nah, they'll have in camp, but doing very simple things. He might toss some balls to his receivers, working on timing and such, but without a rush. He'll be exempt from some of the other drills that most players dislike. Of course, only if he comes back. And he won't be in training camp. At the worst, he'll have some sort of minor injury (wink wink) that prevents him from practicing/playing in training camp and most of preseason.
Thats kind of what Im thinking. Favre wanted to retire on top and IMO if the Vikings had won the SB this year, he would have retired for good.If he isn't with the Vikings, he's retired for a year. Guaranteed. If I understant contracts correctly, the Vikings have the option for next year, and can prevent him from going to another team (at least unless they get comped). That being said, this is John Elway all over again. If he won the SB this year? He retires. He came close, so he'll give it one more year.

...but I will sure enjoy watching everyone else go nuts everytime he sneezes
Amen to that. I honestly couldnt care less if he comes back. If he wants to come back and does, great. If he doesnt, oh well, he had a great career. All I will say is until he says he is coming back I will just assume he is retired and leave it at that. I am not going to get caught up in the Favre Watch but I will sure enjoy watching everyone else go nuts everytime he sneezes
I have to admit, I'm a fan of Stafford, just for seeing that final Browns win play. That man has balls of steel.

Heard on the radio news as I was coming home that there will be a BrettFavre ad during the Super Bowl. It will be BrettFavre at age 50 contemplating retirement. The ad is for Hyundai.
If that's true... what an attention whore.
Not that we didn't know that already.
Exactly...I never got why if everyone thinks he is an egomaniac they fed into it. Just ignore him and let the chips fall where they may. If he wants to come back great, if not fine. I am going to watch the games either way

You really are bitter, aren't you?
Well, they say that drugs will take off the years, and he had a good run with them for a while, so it stands to reason...That skin looks pretty **** young for a 40 year old.
AP Source: Favre Tells Vikings He Will Not Return
A person with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that Brett Favre has informed the Vikings he will not return to Minnesota for a second season.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity Tuesday because the team had not made an official announcement. The person says the 40-year-old Favre called coach Brad Childress to say his injured ankle is not responding as well to surgery and rehabilitation as he had hoped.
Favre also told the Vikings last year he wouldn't play for them but ultimately changed his mind and joined the team immediately after it broke training camp.
Favre injured his ankle in the NFC championship, which the Vikings lost to the New Orleans Saints.
