Ugh, so close, but not quite in the last seconds. so very stressful.
And up until the 3rd, the refs didn't call a thing- and then that last one was pretty weak. Thankfully, we killed them.

Tough loss, so close. The team looked pretty flat that 1st period....how long was it before we had our first shot on goal?
Still proud of this team, B1G tourney champs, Frozen Four, good season and fun to watch.
To our non-Michigan fans posting in this thread, yes, we are ready for the exodus of players, it is expected, every year. When you recruit 1st rounders you get 1 maybe 2 years out of them and then enjoy watching them in the pros.

Fact is your coach lies and program is under investigation. You guys dodged a game and now lost despite all the hype. Guess what first round picks get you - nothing.

Firstly, Colts suck /Maryland native who still hates the team that snuck out of town when I was 1 year old leaving me with no NFL team until we stole the Browns. Go Ravens!
Secondly, I'm gonna go ahead and say Conference tourney championship and Frozen Four appearance is a bit more than nothing, and something that 56 other teams would have loved to have this season.

Nothing? We got an entire season of entertaining hockey to watch. Maybe you should watch our games more often, they are pretty fun to watch.
Not sure about you, but having so much talent and creativity that there's a regular exodus of players is a problem that most other programs would drool over. The real problem for some of the fans is that there's no real time to get to know the players as well as you could over 4 years. But if Michigan ends up being the Kentucky of college hockey, that's a problem I can deal with- it's worth the season tickets.
BTW, other than one article, there has been nothing about the "investigation"- which most of it would have been dealt with already. So hope all you want, but I don't see anything happening.

Except that only two of those called penalties were valid, and none of the clear penalties called in OT for Denver were called. You apparently didn't watch much of the end of the season, when the penalty problems were very dealt with.
BTW, Mel's not going back. So hate all you want.
Trying to separate myself from the dumbass opposing fans, I thought Michigan was gaining traction in the OT. And then the double overskate/mixup at the blue line. Losing in OT at the FF is not something to be ashamed of just because you have a lot of high draft picks. Big Ten champs and a FF trip is a good year. Congrats. It is hilarious seeing BU, Tech and QU fans come at you though.

The great irony is that 24 years ago, BU fans were incredibly happy of our success. Just depends on the situation. But most of the time, other fans can't stand Michigan- something I've watched for the entire time I've been part of this board.
And it's not as if Notre Dame has not given the game plan to just frustrate and overwhelm the "draft picks". Up until the last game, they had done it really well, and Denver was able to follow that really well- which reduced the game down to a handful of chances. And this is a Dever team that is the #1 offense in the country- so for them to do that was pretty impressive (and frustrating). It was not as if there were no chances in OT- two were obvious, Michigan had way more chances in OT to win the game than Denver did- the obvious difference is that they buried the one. It happens.

I have to admit, there was a part of me still bitter for the 2002 Regional game. Outside of that though, this was a great game. David Carle set up his team perfectly. The tournament and, especially the Frozen Four; is not a place where you want to get into a track meet/goal fest. You need to play disciplined and tough. David Carle coached about as perfect a game as you can have as a coach.
