The tournament no one cares about.....

Re: The tournament no one cares about.....

Can someone link me to where I can buy tickets? I can't for the life of me find ANY info about the tournament, let alone info about tickets...

You can just buy them when you get there. Trust me, it won't sell out. You can also use boblav's link about if you are really paranoid.

And, yes, the walk around campus is well-worth it. It is very pretty...

Re: The tournament no one cares about.....

So with the tourney nearing, any predictions? Dartmouth had a close game with UVM that they lost 4-3 recently and NU lost 5-1 at orono back in early December, so i think it will be a dartmouth lowell final with lowell winning it and nu beating out hc in the consolation round.

Re: The tournament no one cares about.....

With the crappy weather expected, I'm guessing attendance will be downright awful especially on Saturday.

Re: The tournament no one cares about.....

Hey... if the weather's bad.. head inside..watch a hockey gm.
Go Huskies
Happy New Yr all
:)

Re: The tournament no one cares about.....

I guess I care about this as I just listened to the Lowell/Holy Cross game. Lowell won 3-0.

Would love to see another win tomorrow night against Dartmouth or Northeastern to start 2010 off right.

Re: The tournament no one cares about.....

All Hockey East Final as NU cruises with a 7-0 win over host Dartmouth. UML is the favorite but will the Huskies' blowout win give them the momentum and confidence to win? I think UML takes it in a close boring low scoring game like their prevous meeting in Lowell in November.

Re: The tournament no one cares about.....

Was listening to the NU/Dartmouth game part of the way home fromthe UML game. The announcer needed a penalty for the overuse of now, here, and there. Used instead of um. He wasn't very hyped on Dartmouth. The antithesis of homer.

Oh and driving was a bit interesting in spots but still made it home in less than 3 hours with a stop for food and a huge back up before Salem (we hopped off, thank goodness)

Re: The tournament no one cares about.....

Lowell didn't play all that well tonight ... again. Hutton made some huge saves overall. A win's a win I suppose.

Re: The tournament no one cares about.....

His numbers improved to 1.90 and 93.5%, both best in Hockey East.

which is all well and good until you take into account the following stats:

non-conference: 1.01 GAA/.957 sv%
in-conference: 2.79 GAA/.914 sv%

he has been mediocre in HE and outstanding against giants like st. lawrence (0 GA), UNO (4 GA), UAH (0 GA), princeton (1 GA) and now holy cross (0 GA).

if he wants to help lowell win in the second half, he has to improve those in-league numbers because 2.79 doesn't win anyone anything.

His numbers in conference aren't all that bad either except for one game. He gave up 5 to BU in the OT loss at home. Other than that, he's given up 1 to NU (win), 3 to UNH (win), 3 to PC (loss), and 2 to UNH (loss). The one BU game throws his numbers from a 2.28 (if I did the math correctly) to where it is now. Not that I'd mind him improving the current numbers anyway.

well the same can be said of the UNO game. throw that out and he's allowed one goal over four non-conference games.

point is he's given to VERY bad games at times and i don't like knowing that's a timebomb

Re: The tournament no one cares about.....

For the folks that watched the NU/DC game, was NU that good or is DC that bad?

Re: The tournament no one cares about.....

Hey, does anyone know how to get a live video feed for this game? There's a link to dartmouthsports.com but today's games aren't showing up...
I'm willing to pay I just can't find a link!
