I was hopeful. Not anymore.
Did you expect different?

I'm not a huge fan of Perez taking his side but she's getting outfunded by like 300 million or something (Cuomo is taking this race seriously). She's also gotten Cuomo to move to the left on certain issues. That's a win in itself.Appears Nixon did not do enough in the debate to overcome Cuomo and the entire Democratic National Committee. Thanks, Mr. Perez.
I can imagine dems might not be super excited about Nixon slinging mud at Cuomo when he's up by 30 points.

Nixon is not a good candidate, so no big surprise. Let's not elect actors just because the right does.

I couldn't disagree more. The interviews I have heard have been top notch and her policies and ideas are fantastic. I would vote for her if I could.
Being a flamethrower is cute. Governing is something else. Left wing’s Donald trump.

Yeah, real flamethrower.

She's a Democrat. A real Democrat. Flamethrower? If she's a flamethrower for pointing out what's wrong with Government then every Democrat should be a flamethrower.
This is why Democrats always lose.
Because we don't all like Cynthia Nixon as a candidate?
For fark's sake. There's a reason there are primaries.
No problem with that. I have a problem with her ideas being dismissed, and it being implied that she couldn't do the job. And that's why Democrats will always lose.
Yeah, that's why there are primaries. And this party forgot that very fact in 2016. And so did Perez when he sucked Cuomo off. Which means it wasn't really a primary.
Scooby I read both of your articles. I saw very little in terms of policy in either one. There's some talk about the wealth gap which I fail to see how any governor could address in a significant way. There wasn't even anything in there about free weed which is like her #1 issue that's she's running on. While there is a blurb about her campaigning for same sex marriage, it should be noted that the person who actually got that passed even winning over critical GOP votes to do so in the state senate was.....Andrew Cuomo!![]()
Cuomo took money away from the subway system and the school system. Both of which she has highlighted greatly in her campaign. In both cases you can blame him for what happened.
Rover never said that."But guys not a single person who wants medicare for all EVER considered cost/taxes!" - Rover and Handy
I didn't get that from either of those articles. Regarding the subway the argument/counter-argument was that he proposed an 800m increase funded half by the state and half by NYC, but NYC refused to fund their share. Her argument is great but no increases have happened. Not sure where he took money away comes from?
Regarding schools, her quote is: "Governor Cuomo claims he has provided record increases in education funding, but in reality, he has created a record spending gap between the wealthiest and poorest school districts.” Now I don't know who's right or wrong here, but it seems he has in fact increased money to schools which she doesn't deny, she's saying he's spent that increase in an inequitable way. Not the same thing as "taking money from schools".
Really Scoobs, I know you're trying to fill the void of factually incorrect progressive arguments left by Kepler, but trix has more than made up for Kep in that department.Think of Kep as the aging former All-Star put on waivers while trix is the hot shot prospect taking his place at a much cheaper salary.

An investigation by The New York Times found that Mr. Cuomo had, in fact, steered money away from the system — including using $5 million to assist state-run ski resorts struggling after a warm winter.
