So if I'm understanding this Glenn Younkin commercial correctly, this guy shot this lady when she was a cop, and every few years he comes up for parole, and every few years his parole rightly gets denied, and because of all of that McAuliffe is unsafe for VA?

What’s scary is the race is close.

Does Kristi Noem have the same cavalier attitude about protection when she's banging Corey Leandowski as she does with masks?

California will start requiring one additional vaccine to the dozen or so already required for school attendance. So pretty minor when you think about it.

Jason Aldean (shitty Redneck Country Singer) is upset with mask mandates like the one Newsome put in...except the one he institutes at his bar of course.

I'm sure the Conservatards who say we shouldn't give a crap about what sports figures or celebrities think about political issues will ignore him as well.

I love that two MI state legislature reps wrote a bill to reverse the DNR ban against swimming on red flag days.

Because apparently it's people's god given right to get swept away by a current...

I don't get this. Any state on an ocean should have rules like this because rip tides can be absolutely horrible. Even lakes can get clogged up with algae, and depending on the lake can have rip tides themselves (though I suppose they wouldn't be "tides"...).

The entire GQP platform is "nuh uh!" I absolutely don't understand the infatuation with the early 19th century frontier lifestyle that... didn't exist the way they've fetishized it.

The freedom to kill yourself is real. I know this person who is in the hospital in really bad shape solely because he did not wear a motorcycle helmet. Cause? Freedom. His wife backs it up saying that despite his condition he didn't do anything wrong because cycling was all about that no helmet ride.

It has become obvious that Republicans are the anti-safety party. Government is supposed to be there to provide rules to protect us from ourselves. But, not in Republican Land. Republican land you have the right to destroy your family by going helmetless on the open road.

I have a buddy that's a biker (has biked almost every inch of the US and CA). He'll talk about how he'll take his helmet off for 15 minutes on a ride, absolutely love how it feels but will be so stressed out that he ends up miserable and just gives up and puts it on.

I remember talking to an ED doc a couple years ago after a big motorcycle accident here. He called bikers "brain donors", and noted that in NH - where there's no helmet law - they just called them "DOA" or "stuff on the road".
