Some site had an article on the guy who came up with that bill and is trying to get a bunch of states to pass it. He is completely ****ing insane.

Too many blind teenagers in his state. Clearly there can only be one cause.
 
UK charges you an annual fee of £147 to watch BBC, Sky, etc. Even if it just over the internet - £147.
No commercials though. And the money is used to fund BBC, ITV etc.

(Sky is a paid service much like cable TV here)

So is it like CBS All Access where you have to subscribe, or do they simply make a blanket charge to all UK internet users?

Doesn't this guy know that if they took all the porn off the internet, there would be one website left, and it would be called Bring Back The Porn?

TV, cable, satellite AND internet. Her Majesty's government gets its share no matter what.

So if you have both cable TV and the internet, you're paying it twice? Something seems wrong with your assertion on that one.
