I feel bad...but how many of them voted?

Re: The States: Doing Their Own Thing...

Isn't it total state count though. Not county by county? I don't think the vote there was overwhelming for Clinton.

So the entire county should suffer because their majority/plurality vote for Clinton wasn't big enough to meet your standards?

I don't want anyone to suffer. I'm just trying to figure out how much sympathy I am going to have for them. After all they elected the stupid governor who did this to them.

Re: The States: Doing Their Own Thing...

Genesee county voted for Hillary if that's what you're talking about.

They did but I believe a lot of them left Prez blank as well. (they went Susan S. on the bit) And this stuff has zero to do with President they need to vote in every local election and they need to keep protesting. They are the only ones that can fix their problem.

EPA has jurisdiction here. You think Trump's EPA is interested in fixing this problem?

I checked the numbers they overwhelmingly voted against Snyder in Flint and Flint Township. It wasnt even close.

It is up to those people to keep going to the capitol and keep this in the news. Not much we can do but make sure the rest of the state sees what their stupidity has brought.

They must have a state rep and state senator? What are they doing?

The state can fix the issue the EPA doesnt need to be involved. Not everything shoul he fixed by the Federalis the state screwed this up let them pay to fix it.

I agree the state should have to fix it. But the EPA should be hammering them.

Kimmel should hold his show from there and feature those people until the pols get off their as-ses. Or maybe have different shows circle through. Donate the proceeds to the people. F-ck it; make it happen. Shame the monsters into being humans.

Yeah it took TDS to get 9/11 first responders Health Care (which the Rs blocked and now are still not allowing) Kimmel could definitely do that. Hell most of the shows are on friendly terms with each other have them all jointly do it.

Re: The States: Doing Their Own Thing...

Cal 3, the bid to divide California into 3, has double the number of votes to make a referendum. If it happened, it could be as soon as this fall.

The three states are northern california, coastal california and southern california. Due to the drawing of the lines (orange county separated from LA proper), its pretty obvious the intent is designed to gerrymander conservative votes into their own state.

Who's pushing it? Sounds to me like the conservatives would want this more than the Dems.

Re: The States: Doing Their Own Thing...

It'd require Congressional approval even if it passed, so maybe in fifty years.

Re: The States: Doing Their Own Thing...

CA should be split, but it shouldn't be because some as-shats in Silicon Valley want to create the Libertarian Republic of Atherton. Pass. For now.
