Yep, Engler screwed things up but the a lot of industry in the state took a giant steaming sh** during her term (looking your way automakers), causing necessary tax increases for needed funds and a population that suddenly couldn't pay for it.

There's almost no chance I vote for a Republican this fall. They've gone full nut to the point that I might actually make it easy on myself and vote a straight D ticket for the first time ever. We'll see.
