The funniest bit is that ASD really isn’t all that “woke”, they’re moderately liberal at best. They just don’t openly harass non-white, non-cis people like the MAGAts want to.

Unlike "alternative facts", the real facts do tend to have a leftish bias.

I can remember my AP Macroecon teacher drawing out the Laffer Curve and explaining the theory behind it, then further explaining why it seems good in theory, but is basically useless. And that was in a non-Jesuit Catholic school.
 
She had won two squeaker GA House elections and then lost the third. She did beat the incumbent mayor, but (1) she is a big wheel for there, (2) she seems to have lived in Roswell for a long time and probably has a strong presence there not to mention name rec, and (3) party really doesn't matter for a mayoral election -- it's about being bribed by the right developer.

It beats losing, but she could be a black swan. There doesn't seem to be a recipe to copy other than "be a significant figure from your community for a long time and then come home."

Good to see another ATL burb go blue. We need that in spades in 2026 in GA, NC, etc.
 
Final margin was 9, so the swing was 12.

A 12-point swing across the board would give us a very healthy House majority. The Senate is so overburdened by one party states I don't know if it helps enough.

We need a chart like this; if one of us can't find one, I'll work on making one tomorrow.

Pressure is narrative and that is important. But we also should be on the look out for Lessons Learned that can be rolled out as a kit for every candidate.

I would absolutely trumpet every win or shift like this. If nothing else it will help drive the money which always backs the likely winner.

14% swing from 2024 when all is said and done? Pretty good considering just how high-profile the race became in the last week Turnout is currently *93%* of 2022, and it's also a 14% swing from 2022 despite similar turnout levels

Between him and Shamwow Doofus, the GOP should complete the trifecta and dig up the corpse of Billy Mays to run for some seat in Florida. I bet that guy would've been MAGA.
