The States 2: States Rights for Me But Not for Thee

Speaking of MAGATS and trans porn, I would love to see state rep Josh Schriver's browser history. The man is on a crusade to overturn Obergefell and declare trans people in public as "pornographic" and "obscene," but he's probably up at 3 AM searching the 'Hub for LGBTQ videos.

Granted, I never worked with the BOEE, so it's possible their structure is more set up to issue orders like this on an expedited basis.

But the licensing boards I used to work with would take at least a month to issue even an emergency order at their next scheduled meeting, and regular disciplinary actions took 3-6 months minimum.

Reading the letter, it sounds like they revoked based on his allegedly false statement that he was a US citizen. My thoughts are if that's the case, then someone should be able to just provide the damn removal order to put this to bed rather than relying on ICE's talking points as though that by itself is proof.

Conversely, if he is a citizen as he apparently stated in his application materials, his lawyers should be able to provide that paperwork, too. Or even his green card if the question allowed affirmative answers from permanent residents.

And the goddamn journalists who can't be bothered to dig into that themselves are farking worthless. Because it would wrap up the situation one way or the other.

Does Fateh have a chance in Minneapolis’ mayor race? I’ve read he’s the “Minneapolis Mamdani”, which sounds amazing. Also read he got fucked by the DFL earlier this year. What gives?

I cant speak to anything lately but saying you are not going to work with (non-ADL) Jewish Orgs is not a smart play. (hew may have backtracked on that)

He is not the "Minneapolis Mamdani" from what I have seen. Mamdani is way better and better liked by Jews. Frey is just so awful he makes this guy look like a generational candidate.

ABA started it! What with their uppity, partisan ideas on the rule of law, justice, and civil rights. The GOP has no choice but to retaliate, so really, it's the liberals' fault.
Great point!

In all seriousness, the idea that the ABA is "liberal" is hilarious! The ABA endorsed Gorsuch and Kavanaugh (though they pulled it after the allegations) for the SC when Trump nominated them!

I feel like New Yorkers wont take this well...

A partisan court deciding who can be a lawyer...what could go wrong?
I mean, they already do in most states. Most state bars, including admissions and disciplinary boards, are technically run by the state's judicial branch.

The bigger deal is that not requiring ABA accreditation means you're going to get shitty unaccredited law schools showing up, ala California.
