The scores of Saturday 1/16/10 - Who's going to punt football for hockey?

Re: The scores of Saturday 1/16/10 - Who's going to punt football for hockey?

Fitchburg State leads Framingham State 6-1 through 2 periods

Fitchburg gave Bobby Leiser his third straight start. Framingham went through all three of their goalies in the first period.

Re: The scores of Saturday 1/16/10 - Who's going to punt football for hockey?

Fitchburg State defeated Framingham State 9-1.

The first match between these two teams earlier in the season was close, with Fitchburg needing overtime to pull off the win. Today, Fitchburg showed that the game between them back in November was a fluke. The Falcons scored the game winner not even two minutes into the game, sending the Rams (and their goalies) scrambling.

Fitchburg State improves to 9/10-3-1 and will get a big road game against Salem State on Thursday (which will be streamed on the Internet, and promises to be an entertaining matchup). Framingham State falls to 1-11-1 and will get a home game against the one team they've beaten this season (Worcester State) on Thursday.

Final- NORWICH 5 - St. Anselms 0 Fourth SO for Klingensmith.:)

Another solid night for the Cadets and esp. Klinger and the defense. Great forchecking limited St. A's shots as they were bottled up in the Norwich zone a good part of each period. All in all, wonderful team work and level headed play with only 2 penalties for Norwich.
Any news on Scott Schroeder, he left the game sometime toward the end of the second, looking a little lame on his left leg? New injury, or the same knee problem. Hope he is okay.
I have a question for some of the pro's out there. Colin Mulvey got a 5 min hitting from behind penalty last night and a game DQ. It was my understanding that he would be DQ'd for the next game. (Like wise, Pasha Kozhokin, from the Colby game. Mulvey did play tonight. What is the rule, or is it a coaches perogative to have them sit out the next game? On George Commo's pregame talk with McShane, coach didn't feel that either player desearved a hit from behind penalty and I don't believe he sat Pasha due to the penalty, more likely because we had all the other defensemen healthy and able to play. Please respond to this, it's driving me crazy seeing as I think both calls were bogus (although I didn't see the Colby one, just basing it on Commo's call of the game). Thanks.

Tyler Allen draws a penalty, retaliates (sp) and given 10 min misconduct; Eau Claire scores............SNC is down by 2..........
