You know, I just remembered that I was also at the Potsdam at Utica game that had to be moved to Hamilton because the Utica Aud's cooling system failed and the ice melted.

I really am a jinx... :eek:

Maybe I should cover tiddly winks instead.

I don't find it to be embarassing at all. After chatting with the rink folks, it was a pipe that burst. Mechanical failures happen, in fact this is the first ever game I have seen which was suspended at Maxcy. The game will be played at Clarkson's Cheel Arena tomorrow beginning at 2pm, and the game will begin from the 2nd period. Then the womens game against Cortland will take place.

Why is the Stevens Point box always the last box in college hockey to get posted? Doesn't it take about 90 seconds to send it in? :confused:

It could take 3-4 minutes after the game, if you have Wi-Fi at the rink. Some SIDs wait and do it in their office, or, they want to get home so they can watch whatever sporting event they are missing, and do it at home. Also, if there are a bunch of home games that day/night (mens and womens hockey, basketball) it could cut into their time.

Geneseo hangs on for a 4-3 win over Potsdam.

Note that Geneseo blew a full 2 minute 5 x 3 in the third period!

That was the first (but probably not the last :() men's D-III hockey game at the Cheel Arena. Ditto on the 4:00 game for the women.

But certainly not the first time the "Knights" have played at Cheel ;)

Oswego is playing Potsdam on Friday, I'm thinking there is no way they'll have the ice ready by then (not with a pipe ruptured). Any ideas where they will play since Clarkson has a games on Friday and Saturday?

I believe that it was mentioned in the Potsdam thread that the pipe should be fixed tomorrow.
