We all know they only come out when Democrats propose spending on things like the poor, health care, seniors, roads, science, climate, etc. They all exist then. In force.

Well of course. Those things are all "waste." Unlike giving Trump's children a billion dollar break on their estate taxes. That's a fundamental national interest.

And still, Fish and Flag will defend this tax plan, when they are their kids and grandkids and great grandkids will be paying for it.

It boggles the mind. The ideology gets packed in so tightly the thinking stops.

I know I'll never reach the promised land and will always be caught in the trap of having my fortune stolen. That's the way it's been for me the last 25 years and it's not going to change.

The irony of these tax changes and the other systemic changes that have been going on is as the bizarre Party Mitosis continues, splitting left and right into smart and dumb, it will also, very slowly, split them into the middle class vs the rich plus the poor. At some point will come the realization by the middle class / left / smart party that there is no longer any reason to support the poor, because they either will never vote or will vote for a Handmaid's Tale country.

And at that moment something is going to snap, because over the last century the only thing that has kept the poor in America from descending into a Central African socio-economic status has been the good will of educated liberals. When that goes, it really will be the Hunger Games.

My word of caution for Republicans is, when the peasants revolt, they burn down the manor house, not the ale house. Youse guys is f-cked.

Count me as still caring, but less by the year. We can only endure midterm collapses for so long before it becomes more cost effective to just form an Unreconstructed Economic Centrist Bourgeois party. Screw the tails: come into the plus or minus 1 sigma if you want to live. Screw the cities and the country: come to the suburbs. Last one in pull up the drawbridge. The humans will feast on microbrews and let the pigs, dogs, and sheep devour each other.

Tax and spend = evil and communism.

borrow and spend = awesome and capitalism. At least that's my conclusion after reagan and all the fools that have followed in the wake of his farts.

Borrow and Spend only is awesome and capitalism if you're borrowing and spending on the RICH. Otherwise, no.

I wish that chart were scaled for number of people in each bracket. Show the number of people negatively and positively impacted in each bracket.
