Not really. Just a handful of people on this board who seem to enjoy complaining about things a lot, even at times when I agree with them and they're so used to complaining they don't notice.

You have our sympathy. It must be hard.

Here come the 2nd Amendment remedies.

Some classics.

The Oath Keepers, described by the Southern Poverty Law Center, a civil rights organization, as a “fiercely anti-government, militaristic group,” say they have their sights set on defending the Rowan County clerk, who has refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

Rhodes said his group's action had nothing to do with same-sex marriage, but instead was focused on his belief that Davis had been illegally detained after being found in contempt of court by not issuing marriage licenses.

"As far as we’re concerned, this is not over,” he said in the audio clip above. “This judge needs to be put on notice that his behavior is not going to be accepted, and we’ll be there to stop it and intercede ourselves if we have to."

Rhodes went on to compare Davis's plight to that of the Founding Fathers, in that it deals "with the magistrates and the officers of the crown who wanted to run roughshod over the rights of the colonists without a jury indictment, without any of that."

Arguing that the U.S. has an "unconstitutional imperial presidency" in place, Rhodes said in a statement on the Oath Keepers website, "We have had boots on the ground there since last week and will continue to have a presence ... [Federal District Court Judge David Bunning] has assumed unto himself not just the powers of all three branches of government, but has also taken on the powers of judge, jury, and 'executioner.'"

And that's not even posting the Nazi comparison.

It's a minor miracle that these nutbars haven't actually murdered people yet. Somebody writing a history of this period in 50 years will be thinking, "how could they not see it coming?"

So, she's asking the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals to overturn the Supreme Court of the United States...?

That's.....that's not how it works.

The level of derp that knuckle-draggers (including many of our fellow posters) are able to obtain is no longer surprising.

She's relying upon the Higher Power Doctrine, which has been her case all along. It's reversible: you can use it to supersede any court order, but you can also ask any court to enforce it.

The thing I don't get is how her attorney is permitted to to this. There is a duty to represent your client's best interest. Can an attorney be sanctioned for, basically, feeding a client's delusion? I suppose so far Davis hasn't really been injured by it -- in fact she's probably set for life on the rubber chicken circuit.

Hang on a sec. Weren't the last 2 rulings just about stays of the district court's order? SCOTUS denied the stay, but now she's filing the actual appeal of the district court's ruling. I'm not a lawyer, either, but I think that is what is happening.

Still, it does bring to mind, "Strenuously object? Is that how it works?"

Huh. There's such a thing as too crazy for Kim Davis.

Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis declined an offer from the Oath Keepers, an anti-government group comprised of former law enforcement officials and military members, to protect her from arrest by federal authorities, the group announced on Friday.

We leave that to the Godless ones, like Stalin, Mao, etc. :p
