The Playoff Scoreboard

Re: The Playoff Scoreboard

BC is doing all it can to send Grant to an early grave. Heading to OT tied 4-4.

Re: The Playoff Scoreboard

And so he'll live another day. 5-4 BC. It was nice to see Lindsay score the first goal for BC.

Never thought I'd hear my wife's name mentioned on a Bemidji State's broadcast of their hockey game, but I just did. She had sent an e-mail concerning the streaming problems with the broadcast of the game. It took until the 3rd period to get it straightened out. We listened yesterday without any problems. I just about jumped out of my seat when Mack scored for the Beavers. The broadcaster gets very excited. I liked that, even though there were no "trickled in" goals that I heard of today.

4-3 UMD. Dang, I was hoping to hear another broadcast tomorrow.

Re: The Playoff Scoreboard

Clarkson scores with one second left to force overtime with the Bobcats. RPI scores in the empty net for a 2-0 upset of Cornell to force a third game tomorrow. Colgate over Harvard, also forcing a third. Nothing comes easy in the playoffs.

Re: The Playoff Scoreboard

Giguere with the wrist shot and Clarkson beats Quinny by 4-3.

Giguere with the game winning goal from Gabel.
Giguere with assists on the other 3 goals.
Gabel with 2 goals/2 assists including the game tying goal with 1.1 sec left in the third.

Looks like Colgate and Cornell are both taking charge of their own destiny today. Time is running out for Harvard and RPI.

Re: The Playoff Scoreboard

Syracuse is enjoying a good second period and has turned a 0-1 deficit into a 4-1 lead over Lindenwood.

Re: The Playoff Scoreboard

Syracuse is enjoying a good second period and has turned a 1-1 tie into a 5-1 lead over Robert Morris o.O

So now we get to start fretting about whether the NCAA would send the #28th ranked team somewhere other than the #1 seed, because of "travel" (which would just be SO very wrong).

Re: The Playoff Scoreboard

So a team that is 13-21-3 has made the tournament...That may not be the only surprise we see this weekend. ;)

They did score two goals against Wisconsin in their earlier series...

Considering that I should avoid thinking...I get the feeling that bc wins their conference tournament, so in. What I don't know is if that feeling is coming from some bad garlic shrimp I ate for dinner? ;)

Oh and I should ask you if the 3 yups you posted in the bc thread represent Clarkson's 3 national titles?

Haha I don't think we have to worry about this this year. Worst case I can see is if, like, Duluth makes the tournament and Minnesota wins the WCHA, they would send Duluth to #1 Minnesota and Syracuse to #2 Wisconsin. But outside of that, the two eastern teams in 3rd and 4th are going to have two eastern teams to pair up with somewhere from 5 through 7, so there won't be a travel benefit to keeping Cuse out east.
Close to that of BC men!
TOO LATE I already made this self-own of a joke on Twitter :D

Re: The Playoff Scoreboard

Including a non-conference record (unless I missed something) of 0-13-1 (!!)

They are one weak team. When's the last time they won a game out of conference?

Hate to say it but a CHA team getting an auto-bit really dampens the integrity of the game.

From a Minnesota/Wisconsin standpoint, one can punch a ticket to frozen 4. Makes winning the WCHA that much more important.
