The Paint Store Diaries: Michigan Tech Offseason Part III

Re: The Paint Store Diaries: Michigan Tech Offseason Part III

Did anyone check Old Man Tormal into the boards?

Excellent. Tech can't even win a game against themselves.

I'll let you know they basically threw the game because for one John Scott got a penalty for being too tall when it was 4-3.

That's awesome!

PB (and I, part-time) went and got a puppy instead. Bauer is pretty mischevious. It came down to naming him Bauer or Zito (Esposito), but Bauer won out. However, with the way he flops, maybe we should have named him Stewart. :p

I believe there to be a conspiracy here.

Holy crap, I can hyperlink a quote!

Oh great, now we're going to enter the realm of custody battles once you two break up again. That will be enjoyable...

They'll both be found to be unfit parents and the dog will be given sold to a dog fighting ring.

Good, I hear someone is looking to rebuild this year.

Another thing I saw yesterday up on the suite level are a wall of jerseys dating from the 90's back to the 20's.

Did they appear to be actual game jerseys or replicas made to duplicate the various styles? I've looked at the jerseys for them guys who played a while in the NHL and they appear to all be store bought replica jerseys.

One time when I stopped by to visit Roy, he pulled out an MCM sweater (and I mean sweater in the truest sense of the word) - Thick white knit with a high neck and looked like about a womens size 5. When the school renovated / moved the locker room and equipment areas, someone chucked it into the dumpster thinking it was some junk from the Copper Country figure skating club. Luckily someone spotted it and knew what it really was and pulled it out. I'll certainly have to check that out next time I'm up there and see what all they've put on display (unless someone already took photos). I know they had a couple 1970s jerseys in the main hallway for several years (kind of made me a bit sick to see them just stuck full of pins to hang them), but neat to know the team still had some older items in the archive.

They were game worn Huskies jerseys and the jersey you're talking about I believe is on display now.
