I'm pretty sure I remember that as well, but can't remember if it was for 2006 or a tournament in between.

Shuster is off so far today. Ah well, got one back. It should really be tied though.

This has been a game of horribly missed shots.

But Germany is finding their rhythm though here in the later ends.

Shuster hasn't made a nice shot all match.

I'll be stunned if they find a way to win this but my guess is Germany takes this match by three or four points.

They've better curl a lot better tonight against Norway of their backs or going to be against the wall the rest of pool play.

Yeah we are gonna end up toast on this one. Kapp is doing well now, Shuster has yet to arrive.

Does anyone else feel one of the announcers has no idea what he is talking about?

I guess you could call him the PbP guy with the american accent but he keeps jumping the gun and saying oh looks like the US gets a point here when Germany actually was closer and earlier in the match he said two points for the US immediately and it was only one.

The in that last end he thought it was going to be an easy three points for Germany and the Canadian guy comes on and says there is no way they'll get three, two at best and even that will be very difficult.

Turns out they got the two points because Kapp continues to improve for Germany as the match progresses while Shuster continues to suck.

7-4 heading to the final two ends...Not looking good Yanks.

Gotta love coming back from the break seeing three yellow stones in the house and a red one missing horribly once again.

That's game.

Difference in the game was the skip's play.

Kapp greatly outplayed Shuster all match.

Going to the 10th end and Germany leads 7-5 with the hammer.

USA had a chance at two points but Kapp had a great double knockout shot that forced Shuster to throw the hammer and take a point rather than either taking two points and keeping the hammer for the 10th end or taking a point and be down two going into the 10th end with the hammer.

Alright time to start the hockey game.

The curling game officially has me p!$$ed off.:p :mad:

Yeah this match has been frustrating. Hopefully Shuster shows up against Norway tonight.

It had to have been 2006, because I don't watch curling outside of the Olympics :p

Good. Looks like I MIGHT get to see USA v. Russia this afternoon after all. I hope, I hope, I hope.

ETA: Ugh, probably not. I don't get MSNBC so I don't think I'll be able to stream the game. Which is dumb, because if I HAD MSNBC, why would I want to stream the game? *facepalm*

Well, now that we've moved into the hockey and curling season of the olympics, I might have to duck out to prevent any spoilers. Going to watch them online later I think. NBC said they would put these up on VOD after the event. Hopefully they are a big sack of liars.

I love it how they can't even call GM Motors place its rightful name.

It's Canada Hockey place for the olympics...
