Biathlon pursuit mens and womens 3-5 on NBC
I'm guessing biathlon pursuit is not nearly as cool as it could be. Anyone else thinking "The Most Dangerous Game?" :D

Eh, it can get interesting due to the length. If the leaders miss shots, the guys from the back can catch up by shooting clean real quick. Even guys a couple/few minutes out still have a chance to medal if they shoot clean.

Nice shot. Easy, but did what he had to do.

You know, being excited for a day full of hockey and curling would seem weird to almost anyone else... But here on USCHO, it's just par for the course :D

Beautiful shot there.

The announcers are doing a great job explaining the terminology/sport as they're going along too for the casual viewer who isn't familiar with the sport.

Terrible frame by both squads. Nobody stepped up to get the points. Germany get 2, but really should have had 3.

Good afternoon run for coverage:

USA vs Germany in curling 12-3 EST on USA
USA vs Swiss in hockey 3-6 on USA

Biathlon pursuit mens and womens 3-5 on NBC

Womens hockey on MSNBC and Womens curling on CNBC this evening.

I get figure skating's rating bonanza, but NBC privileged Biathlon over US Men's hockey? Really?

They only have a 2 hour block for the afternoon... As we all know, hockey can take longer than that...

Based on the # of commercials and tendency to jump around in coverage, I don't want hockey on NBC anymore.

I just pulled my cable in anticipation of a move in a week so NBC is all I have :(

I am fine with NBC not carrying hockey right now as well. It is pool play. USA has an HD feed as well.

Ah gotcha, I'm sure theres some contractual arrangement that local news must go on at 5p.

Re: The Official Thread of the Run-Up to the XXI Olympic Winter Games, Vancouver, Can

So nbcolympics.com shows that "mobile tv" is available for the hockey games today. Just how do I get my iPod Touch to play these live streams?

I have the NBC app already and all it offers is just pre-recorded crap.

mobile.nbcolympics.com just shows me updated timing/scoring and stats of all sports, no live video.

Why does NBC continue to be useless?

Wow that was close. It was also unfortunate for the US.

That shot by the Swiss was awesome. Knocks out two, and scores four.

Re: The Official Thread of the Run-Up to the XXI Olympic Winter Games, Vancouver, Canada

Didn't they have a telestrator in 2006 so they could show what each competitor was trying to do with their throw? Was NBC too cheap to give them that tool this time?
