Yay for cheering on Slovakia and giving them a hand after losing 18-0.

Lets see how those people cheer if Canada loses, will they cheer the team that beats them?

Probably not. So it seems like a little patronizing to me.

They also noted on the end of the 2nd lap that the French guy held his tuck on the downhill into the stadium much longer than anyone else, indicating that he had faster skis / better wax than the rest of them. That can make all the difference on the flats, especially with a short little burst in a sprint to the finish like that.

Thanks, I forgot they mentioned that & didn't realize it was the French guy. Tough wax day with the unpredictable precipitation/temperatures.

At the World Juniors they were actually fairly gracious after losing.

Watching that race was the exact reason why I love the olympics.

Normally a sport I could give a **** about drew me in and had me out of my seat cheering the USA guys on.

What a show by Demong to catch the leaders and then Spillane was able to hang on for the Silver. Very very cool and exciting race to watch.

Sucks we only got one medal out of it and it was a silver and not a gold but still very cool to win the first ever medal in the event and have three of the top 6 in the world.

They'll get another couple chances later in the games too. I have a feeling that the US could be pretty damm good in the team event.

Yeah, me too. Even if it is tape delayed, as long as I don't know the results, it doesn't make that much of a difference to me.

Ah, probably Silverlight, the MS viewer.

I'm impressed. I blew it up full screen (I'm on a 22" FP) and you can see the little bits of snow/ice. It's very sharp.

I don't like downloading stuff that I don't know what it is. What is Silverlight? A new browser or something, I definitely don't want a new browser.

Silverlight is microsoft's excellent answer to flash. Flash blows and silverlight is completely tolerable.
