Uh no. Not at all what I said or meant. Speaking specifically of a CONFERENCE regular season and a CONFERENCE playoff title. I'd just say your record over 28 games should count for more than what happens in one weekend, in regards to conference play.

The reason every conference goes with an auto-bid for their playoff champion is just an opportunity to squeeze another team from their conference into the big tournament because the top teams should be able to get in regardless based upon their regular season record (Pairwise).

And thanks to the Gophers fans who continue to show their arrogance.

Come on, Fishman! The BC treatment from the selection committee is outrageous. Those following Moy's bracketology the last two weeks have been laughing at his BC prediction ... because, once he goes through the entire formula and process, very careful to observe the "bracket integrity" ... he finally arrives at brackets with BC out west. Finally, he says "well...just because ....let's swap some around".

Its a joke!

There is no way that the "overall #1" deserves to face the second seed in the 5-8 band in their bracket. They should get the 8. The 6 should be in the bracket for the #3 overall. Justifying such a "swarthy swap" is just nonsense - no one is listening. We're all at some level of disgust. Most of us at a very mild level because its all not that important.

My team, Lowell, has an outrageous bracket compared to BC ... but I'm welcoming it. Getting through the wringer of Wisconsin and UNH/Denver will earn a lot more respect than BC's "special treatment" and their surviving Union and Quinnipiac. If we survive Bucky ... a very hot team ... we'll get either a matchup against UNH who swept us last year or Denver, who beats us in their barn handily even earlier then the UNH games. What do we think about BC if they beat Union and Quinnipiac, huh?

Are you serious about the "what exactly is your gripe" crap?

I definitely do not think BU was screwed. There were games they should have won against teams that just plain didn't win this season. However, the worst thing to happen to BU was playing Merrimack in the HE quarter finals. Beating them 2x put Merrimack below .500 and ruined BU's TUC record.

PaulG, as I've said before, if it were Maine or BU instead of BC...the same exact thing would have been done. This is NOT a BC thing. Anybody who follows this stuff closely (if you don't, maybe you should) could have seen this coming.

Where have you been for the past 10 years? If the bracket was based solely off of "integrity" we wouldn't have a committee, there wouldn't be host schools and teams from the same conference would face off in the first round.

Anyway, if you're saying that there is no way Quinnipiac should have to face the #2 two-seed than you also have to say that BC shouldn't have to play the top overall seed. But everyone agrees that BC got a favorable draw, so it's a flawed argument. Nobody cares what you think of BC if they advance to the FF. If it happens, every BC fan will readily admit that it was a favorable draw.

This is pretty well said.

The crying will only get worse if BC advances (50/50 at best) and UML loses this weekend (likely).

It is what it is ... not a major deal (real "mild disgust"). Not so sure I would care if it was BU or Maine ... read what you will. All I know is Lowell would never get that treatment. Our "reward" in the past for being a high seed was getting to go play MSU on their home ice ... and we beat them both times. So, excuse me for being mildly irritated.

Actually hoping both Lowell and BC get to Pittsburgh. Any idea how the matchups would go? According to the printable brackets, Lowell and BC can't meet until the finals.

If BC was 3rd and Lowell 6th, you would have the exact same bracket, but with Lowell the 2 seed in Providence and BC the #1 in Manchester.

Would love to believe that. Didn't see Jason Moy swapping Lowell out east in any of the bracketologies that didn't have them falling into an east regional in the first place.

How do you guys like the 9:00 start time with a 6:30 game the next day? Doesn't seem right in a Sat-Sun regional. Especially if first game goes OT. Even if it doesn't, with television timeouts and all ... games run closer to 3 hours. So, if first game ends close to 8:30 ... BC won't be taking the ice for warmups until 9:00.
