The official MCH'AQ' season thread

Re: The official MCH'AQ' season thread

sz
It will help to have 4 guys sitting out for SNC because of game DQ's at River Falls over the weekend. Two on the d-side. That will hurt. Still, three games in a row against NCHA teams will be a good test for the Vikes.
Move Tabisz back to the blueline (although he looked awesome at forward vs. River) and plug in Nopper, who did not play Sat. nite...and we will have a solid D-Corp for the Vikes.

Re: The official MCH'AQ' season thread

Congrats to Northland for their first weekend sweep of an opponent since January of 2008 (against Crookston).

Re: The official MCH'AQ' season thread

Lake Forest 6
Lawrence 2

What the hell happened here???
Lawrence could not crack Sullivan in the 1st period, when they had a 17 -- 3 shot advantage...LFC dominated the quality scoring chances in the 2nd and put up four on Johnson. Vikings didn't play with much fire the rest of the way.
Interesting that Skudder called a timeout with more than six minutes left in the game and promptly pulled his goalie, for the extra attacker....probably the earliest, I have even seen this happen. Within a matter of seconds, LFC scored the ENG to put the game out of reach.

Judging by the box, the goalie was pulled following a penalty, so with it is reasonable that Skudder decided this might be their best chance at tying it up and going for the momentum gain the tie would bring. Got to admit, that was early in the game, I was shocked while attending this game in Middlebury, but in this case, it came real close to working.

Re: The official MCH'AQ' season thread

Something tells me that the Vikes will want that one back. Johnson is a big part of that team and needs to play better if Lawrence is going to stop its little slide.

Re: The official MCH'AQ' season thread

I was at the MSOE game Friday and Brock King and Thomas Fuller careers are done. Anyone hear what happened?

Re: The official MCH'AQ' season thread

MCHA Player of the Year: Mike Dahlinger - Adrian
MCHA Coach of the Year: Jasen Wise - Marian

No argument from me about either one of them.
