Yeah, over the past five years the information on DIII guys has been coming out earlier and earlier every year. That list filled up much earlier and faster this year than I have ever seen. But there's still a fair amount that no one will know about until fall, some of whom will be transfers.

looks to have offensive talent for sure, 2nd in the league in assists and 5th overall in pts,smallish at 5 9" 180,maybe thats y hes not going D1 but I doubt it, but oz has a few big guys in the lineup for sure...also shows up in the big games from what i read...looks good:D

looks like they have several blue chip players and the rest will do just fine I am sure,will be interesting to see who shows on campus in a month?? still only 2 goalies as one recruit has gone to Western Ontario instead of Oz,will b fun to see who else comes in btwn the pipes..

18 is what I have as well although Alex D'Oliveira is a question mark because he was traded to Coburg this summer and it appears he might use his final year of junior eligibility to try and get a D1 spot.

I've seen Mike Montagna play for his father on the Syracuse Stars and once for the Catamounts. Similar in stature and style to a past D1 transfer from Fulton, NY, Don Patrick. Certainly NOT a big dman. Mike is on the official list from SUNY Oswego of the 700+ incoming transfers for this fall.

Got him mixed up with another dman who played at oz,but do remember him,didnt get much ice but I think his son will be a good fit.lets hope so..p.s. any goalies on that 700+ list????:confused:

agree, first the players must show up on campus, then they have to prove what they have on paper as they say,then they have to fit the system as well...and i am sure a whole bunch of other stuff,but the recruits listed seem to be a good start time will tell as thye say

????? didnt read about that?? he looks to be a keeper on paper??? EDIT................ Eliteproprospects has him with the Cougers OJHL next yr,looks like we lost him for now

He has made some posts on Twitter recently about his excitement to join the Cougars and hasn't posted about Oswego in a while so I guess he is going to do one more looking for a D1 spot.

Finally saw Miracle! on TV last night and I think I see where we've gone wrong liking Lake Placid so much. The teams with a lot of American players get really pumped up playing at the site of The Miracle on Ice, but our teams are almost all Canadians. Eh? Big deal....

Maybe this season having the finals in Maine will "level the playing ice" ;)

This is why you're one of the smartest OSU fans around...I know kind of an Oxymoron (j/k).

Seen too many BIG TIME Jr. players put up the numbers in Jr's and come into DIII and be bench warmers. And seen too many average Jr. players put up average numbers in Jr's and come into DIII and light it up. Either way, its not a bad start. This will surely test Gosek's coaching ability. In short, its time to earn your pay.
