Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

I know I'm a broken record on this subject, but when you're introducing the Jets' defensive starters during the Colts' third possession, you're doing a disservice to your viewers.

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

Peyton hits paydirt, nice throw nice catch

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

Bill Polian is probably already on the phone trying to get the rules changed.

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

The Colts are now allowing this game to dribble down their leg.

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

What was that Colts timeout for? It just gave the Jets more plays. You're never going to get the ball back anyway.

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

Wow. Quite the choke for the Colts. Bill Polian is going to lobby to narrow the field goal uprights.

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

No kidding. That was really odd.
Am I offbase here or did Caldwell just turn a 50-yard FG attempt into a 32-yarder -- for the other ******* team?!?! The Jets seemed like they were going to play it conservatively until they were handed the additional timeout. Just jaw-droppingly stupid.

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

Also, I thought it was weird that Al Michaels -- who has called so many games in his career -- was caught off guard on the timeout usage at the ends of both halves. He sounded like he's never watched a football game in his life. That's CC's job, I know, but if so then just call the timeout as a part of PBP and shut up. Instead he commented on both and sounded like an idiot.

Maybe he's just gotten lazy and doesn't have his A game any longer.

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

The Jets' 2011 draft compensation to the Chargers in the Cromartie trade now becomes a second-rounder (would've been a third-rounder if the Jets had lost tonight).
