So the nWCHA apparently is just keeping the silly tourney name even though it's meaningless.

Anyway, it looks like it will be a doozy because even at the top, it appears that any team can beat any other, especially on the road.

Fun times, love this new league.

As of now, we know #1 Ferris State will host #8 Bemdij State and #4 Bowling Green State will host #5 Michigan Tech next weekend.

NMU fans should be pretty satisfied. Instead of the impossibly difficult trek to alaska with it's prohibitive costs and 18 hour travel days the team only have an 8 hour bus ride.

Next year a computer program will spit these things out, not me. I may do the data visualization in the same way, but it will have a higher level of accuracy. ;)

I'm just happy that I won't be looking at a spreadsheet tomorrow. :) I'm looking forward to the games next weekend, especially if Ferris RUTS's Bemidji. Spare no firepower. I just hope to hell that the season pass works for the playoffs. What I heard from the league office was "not sure". I don't like that answer at all. I have the expectation that it will cover things but also won't be surprised if that goes unmet.

Such a reply is all too often the result when one indulges their empathy for another teams travails on a college hockey fan forum.

Well, best of luck to the Bobcats (or whatever kind of cat your team is named after) in Mankato.
