Yes, generalization about an amorphous group of people only related by their support of a D1 hockey team is a demonstrably effective communication strategy. And by "demonstrably effective" of course I mean "pathetically useless and stupid" ...All the alaska folk just cant seem to get the stick out of their arse can you?
Every alaska fan that has chimed in today has been complaining about something, tell me where I'm wrong, should have added an couple extra phrases so I don't confuse you by only directing that comment at the alaska fans commenting in this thread today?Yes, generalization about an amorphous group of people only related by their support of a D1 hockey team is a demonstrably effective communication strategy. oh I know...he has issues...Basically, if you don't see it Donnie's way, you are pathetically useless and stupid.
Could've done without those memories...All the alaska folk just cant seem to get the stick out of their arse can you? Everyone must be hanging out with Donald too much. Hope he didn't drag any of you to PJs.

The way I understand it, yes. I didn't look it up, but if MTU, UAA, and BSU all played 4 times, the head to head record could be utilized (I didn't look up records or anything). Only thing I don't know is if a 3 way tie gets all the way to a coin flip, where do you find a 3 sided coin?By your example though, if we get to wins and Team A has 14, B 13, C 12...is it automatically A,B,C in the order based on that tiebreaker? Does it matter more if 4 teams are tied?
Lets say every series the rest of the season is a split (one win, one loss) except MSU sweep MTU, BGSU and NMU tie twice and UAH doesn't win another game. That would result in a 6-way tie for 3rd. Before breaking the tie we'd know:
1) FSU, 2) MSU, 9) NMU, 10) UAH
The we'd have:
LSSU 14-14-0
UA_ 13-13-2
MTU 12-12-4
UAA 12-12-4
BSU 12-12-4
BGSU 11-11-6
Tiebreaker 1, not everyone has played everyone else 4 times, so we go to most wins, that puts LSSU 3rd, but does it also place UA_ 4th and BGSU 8th?

What's even more ironic about that situation is BGSU owns the head to head with UAA. But, because there is a team in the tie that BGSU only plays twice, that tie breaker wouldn't come into play and BG would actually end up finishing behind UAA.By your example though, if we get to wins and Team A has 14, B 13, C 12...is it automatically A,B,C in the order based on that tiebreaker? UAA had a bye between Jan 24/25 and Feb 7/8I'm glad we're all in this league to be honest. So you have to fly and we have to fly...whatever. My question is how many bye weeks do you get in this new league anyway?
When have I ever whined or complained about the travel? The answer is never, pointing out facts about a given situation isn't whining, suggesting that certain people have asked for idle weekends after travelling to alaska, isn't me saying it should happen, its me pointing out that certain people have commented on the travel and suggested non-alaska schools returning from Alaska should get the weekend off. I think it has some merit but at the same time, the entire league has to make at least 1 trip to Alaska so whats the point? Talking about facts isn't even close to the same thing as whining and complaining. Stating the fact that the Alaska schools need the WCHA more than the WCHA needs the Alaska schools is fact...for that matter, you could say the same thing about UAH, BGSU, or the Minnesota schools. We are all in this together, and I accept the fact that we have the configuration that we do. I accept the travel and think anyone who really complains about sitting on a plane to Anchorage just doesn't get it. I don't really care for start times for games at alaska to start around the time I normally go to bed or for that weekend to fall on deer hunting opener when I have to get up at 5am, but I'm not complaining. I'm happy to still have my program in the WCHA. Every post I've seen from Alaska fans today is complaining about someone else's perspective on things. Everything the rest of us has said for the most part has been honest, and decent and you get all bent out of shape. I don't think anyone wants to get stuck travelling to Alaska for the WCHA playoffs, but if it happens, it happens. I doubt you'll hear as much complaining as Michigan State did when they traveled to Fairbanks a couple years ago...It's obvious you have not read any of the posts by Alaska folks today.
You're wrong on every single Alaska post today.
Haven't seen any complaining only asking people like you to face reality.
You refuse and that's your right.
Everyone has the right to be wrong but you seem to have used up your quota.
Or did you have your fingers crossed when you made application to join this league?
I just remembered....it is the people in charge (and that's not you) who made the rules and agreements on travel. But you're not whining when you don't like the rules?
You don't like the travel go watch some other team in some other league cause the teams in this league all (that's every single one of them) agreed to the travel.
Jeeeezh
And I'll still buy you guys a beer when you come visit.
It's a new day and a great day to be a Seawolf!
BSU and MTU did not play 4 times I honestly think its going to come down to who did better against FSU and MSU.The way I understand it, yes. Also, Michigan Tech joined the WCHA before either Alaska school so their application had nothing to do with Alaska travel.
Where's the irony?
Here we go again with those pesky rules every team agreed to.
