Re: The NCHC: Just be glad its NaCHo League

Yes you will be able to watch the game outside of the Denver regional market. The "Exclusive National Rights" is this contract applies only to national networks. Not to regional networks that are aired nationally. For the third time, there will not be blackouts of regional games.

In our area there have been no TV blackouts of Division III Women's college softball games or South-American soccer games, despite the swarms of third-division women and South Americans who live around here. Fears that college hockey games will be blacked out are unfounded.

WCHA fans dont give a rats *** about TV skeds and blackout dates. Why? We actually attend the games. I know that is a new concept for some of the NaCHo schools.

2012-2013 Attendance Capacity %

UND - 99.6%
WMU - 99.1%
CC - 95.0%
UMD - 94.0%
Miami - 93.9%
Denver - 87.4%
SCSU - 76.6%
UNO - 43.4%

FSU - 85.8%
NMU - 75.8%
MSUM - 75.6%
BSU - 73.8%
MTU - 73.3%
UA - 62.5%
LSSU - 60.6%
BGU - 50.4%
UAA - 44.0%
UAH - 28.3%

UNO has at least 3500 more fans at each game than every WCHA team. But hey a few WCHA teams have more fans at games than Miami. Sure that is because Miami's rink holds 3200, but it's something!

I see Cartography isn't taught at any of the NCHC schools. Nor can the conference afford to hire one for even 20 minutes to create a decent map for their webpage.

We'll let the WCHA teams focus on making maps as I believe focusing on hockey is more important to the NCHC teams.

Oh. My mistake. I thought the NCHC's focus was searching for a new commissioner and unveiling new websites every eight months.

No worries, with you being an NMU graduate I don't expect you to comprehend even the simplest concepts.

New website looks very slick...

Sure the UP looks like an amorphous blob...but so do Yoopers.

WCHA fans should teach college basketball and football programs to ignore TV contracts and stick to selling tickets. I'm sure they would appreciate the tip.
