Re: The List for the 2019-2020 Season: Episode 1
About a week and a half ago, I was asked if I wanted to stay with a friend and her child while I looked for a place of my own. I took the offer. But on Sunday night, the arrangement started disintegrating. I was accused of running up her food and electric bill. I walked around in a nightgown (with underwear underneath), and she thought that was indecent exposure. Monday night, I was asked to leave, and by Tuesday, I had my things out of there. Wednesday, I made a run to get my makeup and toothbrush, because I accidentally left it behind. Today, I wake up to a Facebook message saying I would be charged with indecent exposure, that I was running up her food and electric bill, and that I was playing the victim and shame on me. I reached out to a lawyer this morning, just in case she isn't bluffing on the indecent exposure charge.
This whole experience goes on The List. I also blocked her on Facebook, because I know arguing with her is a waste of time.
That being said, for as much as my stepfather and I argue and disagree, and while I've had to drag him along on name and pronouns, I'm putting him on the Anti-List for a change. At least he understood that foot surgery wiped out my savings. He understands I can't walk through a grocery store by myself without pain, and he's willing to go with me to the store.
Also, I have a roommate lined up, and in a couple weeks, I should be gone. My friend Ryan goes on the Anti-List.
