The "I Can't Believe There's No Abortion Thread" Part Deux: Electric Boogaloo

There's never been a baby born inside of 21 weeks that made it to its first birthday. 6 weeks is a grossly arbitrary and unnecessary time limit.

It's also unscientific. So-called "fetal heartbeats" don't even emanate from a working heart - 6 weeks is much too soon for organs to have formed.

Yeah, about that Texas "life of the mother" exemption.

You "totally reasonable, just asking questions, everything seems fine" middle grounders can get fucked.

Read the whole article please. There is no middle ground on this. Either women have bodily autonomy or they don't.

Quoting this because I read the same article and just came to post it myself. I couldn't agree more with you Swansong.

Articles like that mean nothing to the scum who argue that these laws don’t really hurt people

No, no - people definitely got hurt, but it was those stupid doctors' faults for making bad decisions because they were needlessly worried about things that couldn't possibly happen to them (lawsuits, lost licenses, criminal charges, firing, etc). Why on *earth* could those doctors be so foolish to be worried about those things in this clear-cut, black-and-white case of a medical emergency? C'mon doctors - do your jobs!

Listen, I'm sure if the doctor just explained the situation to the review board made up of Louie Gohmert, David Allen West, and Chip Roy they would have listened carefully to the doctor's explanation and sided with the doctor.

So, like everyone figured except FOX and FOX will never report the truth. Funny the WSJ did. They're a Murdoch company.

WSJ has a decent firewall between news and editorial. It's not great, but it's not as bad as Fox.

WSJ has to worry because it makes its bones from financially savvy people and they need reality. Fox it doesn't matter because none of their viewers amount to anything, and so they demand, and Fox can deliver, Mussolini cosplay.

I'm not surprised about Roberts. His whole bit has been allow the social issues to remain as a veneer of democracy while the corporate decisions hollow it out from the inside. Blowing up Roe steps on the twig that may wake the sentry up.

WSJ Editorial came out against Trump for 1/6 just recently. I think half of Murdoch (the ones that arent based on Roman on Succession) want DeSantis.

Desantis is Trump without saying it all out loud. There's literally no difference.

You understand I am not a Murdoch right?

There is a difference to them...DeSantis is more in control than Trump is. Trump loved Faux except if they looked at him sideways for half a second then he turned on them. (same with all Murdoch owned medias) DeSantis will stay loyal.

He'll stay loyal because they say so? He's gone after corporate America with both barrels. I fail to see how he's a better option to the corpie billionaire class than Trump.

What if the abortion doctor is pregnant themselves? Is that a double homicide charged to the shooter?

No he will stay loyal cause the alternative is he has no way to maintain his audience. He has no charisma, he needs them to sell his bs. Trump never did...

DeSantis doesn't have the grip on his "fans" like Trump did. Trump can win without Faux DeSantis can't. Sime Math.
