Minnesota's Governor Walz tells state agencies to tell other state agencies to go fuck themselves

.
@GovTimWalz
recently signed an executive order prohibiting state agencies from helping any investigation that would punish anyone for seeking reproductive health care services that are legal in Minnesota. We're lucky to have
@GovTimWalz
standing up for our reproductive rights.

A number of states are doing this, and that's a great thing. And it's pathetic that it's come to this.

The states working to criminalize out of state abortions really put the lie to sic's nonsense. It isn't about the right of states. It never was, and never will be.

It's about making sure old white men get to control women

I can't help but think, the fundy Mormons got prosecuted because it's basically doing what Cawthorn did, out them.

Apparently, appointments for women to get tubes tied is shooting up, esp in places like Kentucky.

over under on how long it takes red states to stop permanent sterilization on white women?

@AcquistoA
Byproduct of KY's abortion ban: A Lexington OB-GYN told me this morning that yesterday, alone, her clinic got *91* appointment requests from women wishing to get surgically sterilized (tubes tied). Said that's far & away the most, ever. Tubals are permanent birth control.

Hoping as neurologists and epileptologists, we can have a dialogue about the implications of the reversal of #RoeVWade and how it will affect our #epilepsy patients who take anti-seizure meds that can cause birth defects. This is not just an #obgyntwitter issue. #NeuroTwitter

Another consideration. I also read about how women who are pregnant and then get a cancer diagnosis may die because they will be forced to forgo treatment for the cancer till after the birth against their will.

I’m sure the village idiot will be along soon to tell you that Europe also does this.

oh wait, no.

saw a good segment today on the bullshit talking points about how “Europe is more restrictive” lies. It’s not. All those nations that allow abortion all allow for late exceptions when the health of the mother is threatened. There is no barbaric treatment

I was always under the impression that many doctors refuse to perform elective tubal ligations and/or endometrial ablations on women under 40 unless they've already had kids and are certain they don't want more.

Lost in the conservaderp arguments about Europe's abortion access is that first-rate European countries generally have real sex ed programs (not just "abstinence only" bullsheet), good access to contraception, a full year of maternity leave, childcare and food assistance, better public education, and other policies and programs to help raise children from birth to adulthood that Americans do not have. Bring any of that up with a conservative and ask them if they support expanding those programs here. You'll typically hear nothing but crickets, or something about T3H SOCIALISM and "personal responsibility".

No they just come here and copy paste fox talking points.

Saving the babies is the most important thing to them in the world unless it involves, you know, them paying a dollar more or something.

The nyt reported in 98 I think that Thomas told someone he wanted 43 years on the court to make liberals miserable as they’d made his life miserable for 43 years

I'm sure they were/are terrified of litigation from women who change their mind later. Because rightwing nutbar groups would push that.

The White Replacement myth is essentially the GOP platform, now. Any non-pregnant white woman will now be regarded by them as an enemy of Gilead.

You're not helping, Hillary. If you cared about America you'd disappear.

lol. You still blaming her? Wasn't her fault. Not by a long shot. She was right about Health Care in the 90's. Gore was right about the planet before 2000. No one fucking listened.

I'm not blaming her. It's possible to be right and still be poison.
