For my mental health I have to believe that the majority of conservatives like me have long since seen through Trump’s “god” act. Aren’t those few morons who are still actually in thrall to the fake god and his pillow guy just over-amplified on Twitter? Are there any on this site (for instance) who would choose to vote trump in 2024 over preserving the union? I refuse to believe it.

This board isn't representative to the average voter. The D1 side is closer to that, and the last I remember it went full on derp in 2020. I live in a small town in mid-Michigan and still see plenty of Trump crap on houses, vehicles, barns. I can't tell if it is just a cult of 20% of the people here, or closer to 55%. I'm guessing it is closer to 20, but the rest of them are likely fine with most of what Trump represented. I'm willing to bet all of the little towns/villages under 20k and under are still full on derp.

Here's the thing- if you are in the majority of the Republican party, what are you going to do about it?
Vote in a primary to get a dumper off the ballot?
And if that fails, will you vote for a Democrat to avoid more dumpers trying to run the country?
Right now, what I see is more dumpers plan to primary non dumper Republicans, accusing all of them to be RINOs, and then there's a race to be the most dumpist. Just like in 2020, when they took a big hit in 2018.
The only way this ends is if Republicans primary these people off the ballot. On all levels.
