The January 6 tape given by Speaker McCarthy to Tucker Carlson shows the House committee on the riot misled the nation on violence against Capitol police and that the dishonest corporate media spread the distortion with enthusiasm. That's the headline.

Good. The more they do stuff like this the more they can't escape Trump. Only his voters care the Midterms proved it.

Faux is going to hand The House back to the Dems.

And I'm seeing plenty of "the committee lied and Tucker is showing us the truth!" people as well. Yes you can dismiss some out of hand...but how many actually believe this shit? It's nice to think this is handing the Dems the House and the WH in 2024...but how much more crap and violence are we going to endure in the meantime...

Not sure how many but the numbers of people that believe it on Musk's Twitter Hellscape are staggering.

Twitter is pyrite.. the loud morons enhanced by bots are not anywhere close to a vocal majority let alone a real one. Hell half of them aren't even Americans. We cant live in fear of Skynet.

The problem is some of these truthers are in Congress. And as has always been the problem lies can get around the world before the truth can get out of bed. We can say don't worry don't worry don't worry don't listen Don't listen Don't listen All we want but at some point it reaches a critical mass

My wife wants to buy our eventual retirement property in TN, because part of her family is from there. I need to start showing her the crap they're enacting down there, particularly given that she is part of the Alphabet Mafia (bisexual).

I deal with this a lot at work since so many of my group live in Nashville. Nashville is not the rest of TN. Sadly, Nashville does not drive the laws at the state level, either. I expect TN to just get worse and worse. The gerrymandering is bad, but I’m not sure Nashville’s pop growth will be enough to overtake dead cat on her head senator either

It's kind of like how Austin is the oasis in the Hellscape known as Texas. I still wouldn't live there.

Yeah, and we would not be retiring in Nashville, lol. Where we'd be, in the current TN-06, they voted for Dump at a 4-to-1 clip both times and will undoubtedly do so again in 2024.

As you’ve probably read, TN GOP’s gerrymander dismantled longtime politician Jim Cooper’s district centered on Nashville, so Nashville’s sizable minority population got f-cked hard, as designed.
Nashville’s population growth is insane, but it definitely won’t overtake TN’s red lean anytime soon. Having lived in Hendersonville, TN for a year a decade ago (yuck), their suburbs aren’t necessarily blue either.
