Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

I can't believe how anxious I feel. I guess I am far more emotionally invested in the outcome than I realized!

We need one goal to avoid losing on total goals scored tie-breaker, IMHO

Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

The Watch ESPN App crashed. Luckily I'm watching on ESPN3 but bandwith is the worst it's been all week for me even though I'm only streaming one game instead of two at the same time, so there's a lot watching there, too.

I read someone (can't remember who) fault Klinsman for Bradley's erratic play: according to that person, he moved Bradley out of his comfort zone when he rearranged the US formation and Bradley is still struggling to adjust.

Meanwhile, it looks like Portugal has a 1 - 0 lead.....

Can we just freeze the halftime scores as if they were full time?

They're not playing in Denver.

Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

Now we'd really better hope that Portugal score holds.

EDIT: ****. Portugal-Ghana now 1-1.

Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

We didn't lose to Portugal, dear.

We only need a draw. Whatever you did for Portugal should be sufficient.

Yes we did. That was a textbook 2-2 loss if I ever saw one. Germany scored, so it was time for me to head back to my desk since that pretty much sealed their fate.

*%&#@!

Nightmare scenario unfolding. Like watching a slow-motion car crash. :(

USA - Germany 0 - 1, Ghana - Portugal 2 - 1 is awful for us. :(

YOU CAN'T POST THAT LIKE IT HAPPENED, IT GIVES SOME OF US HEART ATTACKS!!!

Jones and Zusi run into eachother.

Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

I believe that we will lose, but still move on, because Portugal conceded more goals to Germany than we did!

Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

We also got the better of the two brackets by getting second in the group.
