Elmira at Adrian

The NCAA logic says that the 2 West seed is better than the 3 East seed as far as hosting rights are concerned. Which makes little sense when there are 7 teams from the East and 7 from the West, but reading of the handbook says it is true.

The NCAA saves money by not flying anybody and then sets it up so that they play a QF in a 600 seat area instead of one that holds 2500+

??????

Elmira at Adrian is an interesting twist, but really should have been an obvious one were one to look at the handbook. I called the field right but fanned on that -- which I'm not happy about. Seems some people in last nights Live Blog knew what they were talking about despite the thrashing they were taking. Whoever they were they must be smiling this morning...

If Norwich wins Wed night and makes it the finals than they will probably have to go through the same teams as last years Lake Placid run. This should be interesting. Best of luck Wick.

We all had Adrian and Elmira but the site was wrong. I still think it's not a good rule when there are 4 team in the West and 7 in the east. A 2 seed in the West beats 50% of the field and a 3 seed in the East beats 57% of the field. Not the way the rule is written. The East got out maneuvered by putting Platts ahead of Elmira. Would not have changed any matchups. This year the West wins the battle of the committee.

But what about Utica?! There's no way the NCAA could have blown that one. They had 11 freshmen for crying out loud. They should have been in!!

"They had 11 Freshmen?"....did you just say that? Really. Adrian had 24 freshman in 2008 and they had a 26-3 record.....no ticket to that dance!

All Elmira has to do is beat Adrian and there will be 3 East teams in the semi's, if I'm reading the brackets correctly. I, for one, don't see anything wrong with this. Just win baby..

I heard there is a massive brawl going on right now in the Norwich SID office. Apparently, some hockey players are involved, too. Well, they do have a stake in the decision...
