Questions that need to be answered:

Does Elmira have a Rocky road to Ridder?
If the Presidential 3 all make it to Ridder, who does our intrepid women's editor root for? The national semifinal between Oswego and Norwich deserves a web cam just devoted to DD.
Just how superior is Wisconsin cheese over Vermont cheese?
What are the odds for an all Catholic final?
One on one - Joshua Chamberlain vs. Ernest Harmon. Who wins?
If Elmira has to fly, do they take sailplanes?
How many teams in the tournament are not within 10 miles of a major body of water?

Went to Oswego for college for 4 years...Pretty easy to root for your alma mater. Especially since the hockey program had an impact on choosing to go there.

Have a job at Norwich...hard to not cheer for the college that signs your checks.

Elmira then Oswego then Norwich. always.

My money is on General Harmon....if we play Saturday night in the Burg, health stays ok, I will be there.

So will I.

The women's team not only made the tournament but they received a bye to the final four because of travel restrictions with Adrian and intra-conference matchup potential with Manhattanville!.

If Norwich beats Curry on Wednesday, I'll be at the Stafford on Saturday. :)

No need to worry...a semifinal between Oswego and Norwich is impossible:-D

But a Semifinal between Oswego and Elmira is. And per the Presidential order of priority, that changes the colors he would be wearing during that game. :)

Indeed it does. I've seen the former head of the Zoo Crew sit in the away section when Elmira comes to town.

Such a disappointment.

Actually he has it pretty easy. If I'm not mistaken, all three of his teams have gold in their school colors. Oswego might be closer to yellow, but close enough. He'll just have to change hats from purple to green to maroon. :D

BTW, Remember, these are NCAA games, only Coke Distributor Caps can be worn (and NO plug wires are allowed due to the ban on advertising).

I think all Division III hockey fans should be glad that, for probably the first time since 1998, all four quarterfinal games shape up to be really good contests. Glancing at the tournament history, this is perhaps the deepest bracket in the 28-year history of the tournament.
