Re: The Dead Thread: Yep. Still Dead.

Kepler still thinks Capote wrote it.

It's obvious he did. It's exactly in his style, with the slight change of voice that falls within the distribution of his other work.

It was the sweetest gift ever, but with Lee gone there is no need to keep pretending. She doesn't care anymore.

Though, for that matter, neither does he. :)

Capote's ego would never permit Dill to be written as he was. Plus, pretty sure that theory was debunked more than a decade ago by Capote's own words.

Part of the gift. Epic trolling.

Bereke Breathed drew an epic tribute to Harper Lee yesterday. If you can find Bloom County, print this cartoon and put it on your wall.

Re: The Dead Thread: Yep. Still Dead.

Is that the car wash scene in Cool Hand Luke?

What a great character actor. Loved his stuff. Thank you, Mr. Kennedy. RIP.

That was indeed the scene. And every time I get to see Joy Harmon washing her car while I watch the movie i sort of think the same thought that George Kennedy voiced. She did not have a long and illustrious career, but whenever she was in a movie, you had to notice that body.
My favorite George Kennedy role was as the guy (Herman Skobie) who had his hand shot off and menaced Cary Grant in Charade.

Thunderbolt and Lightfoot when Kennedy was running from the cops and he drove his car into the department store, when he stumbled out of the wreck and turned around the doberman pincher's were waiting for him.
