The plot thickens regarding the death of Gene Hackman and his wife.

“Affiant believes that the circumstances surrounding the death of the two deceased individuals to be suspicious enough in nature to require a thorough search and investigation because the reporting party found the front door of the residence unsecured and opened, deputies observed a healthy dog running loose on the property, another healthy dog near the deceased female, a deceased dog laying 10-15 feet from the deceased female in a closet of the bathroom, the heater being moved, the pill bottle being opened and pills scattered next to the female, the male decedent being located in a separate room of the residence, and no obvious signs of a gas leak,” the affidavit reads.

The top suspect should be Christopher Reeves after gaining superpowers from eating stem cells out of fetuses.
 
Music needed a kick in the ass after the 60s. The New York Dolls were the kick and David was the ass.

RIP. Without the Dolls a lot of punk never happens and we suffer through another decade of shit like Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.

I liked the Dolls. I was 19 when Trash was released, and early in 1974 when I was home on leave and they played The Performance Center in Harvard Square and a few of us went to see them.

Been listening to them non-stop since the news. They have some fantastic music. They were non-ironically hard rocking, too. Great sound. Flamin' Groovies plus dresses, what's not to like?
 
Co-founder of one of my favorite bands in the entire world, The Silos, guitar player and bassist Bob Rupe. When his collaboration with Walter ended, he went on to play bass with Cracker for some time. Sadly, it seems this might be a case of suicide after he was recently found guilty of possession of child pornography.

I met the members of the band a few times, all but Bob. To tell you the truth, he kinda intimidated me a bit. Seemed a guy you wouldn't want to mess with. But I'll try to remember him for the better days. First time I saw them was right after this album came out, in a tiny club in Portland Maine called Raoul's Roadside Attraction. You guys might know this song better as a crappy cover by Hootie and the Blowfish. Bob's the guy without the hat, riffing at the end on the Gibson SG.

I always wonder when I hear that. Does that mean the "barely legal" girls turned out to be 15, or that he was whacking it to 8-year olds?

There just cannot be such a huge population of the latter that every time a guy gets popped he just conveniently happens to have a cache of Miss Turner's Third Grade class.
 
Understand the point. But the legal penalty, and the social stigma is the same.

It's like the 18 year old senior with his 15 year old sophomore girlfriend.

If he turns out to be a total Matt Gaetz, I'm going to be seriously disappointed.
