Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is said to have fled Damascus to an unknown destination as opposition fighters entered the capital and people poured out onto the streets and public squares in celebration.

Fighters have entered the heart of Damascus and declared a “new era” free of revenge, inviting Syrians overseas to return.

Hadi al-Bahra, who heads the Syrian political opposition coalition overseas, declared Damascus “free of al-Assad” and congratulated the Syrian people.

Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali says he remains in his home, willing to cooperate with the opposition, and wants to ensure public institutions continue to function.

At the same time, Abu Mohamed al-Julani, head of main fighting group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, has ordered opposition fighters to not attack any public institutions and services.

Looking back on Jan ‘17-21, I recall how tiring it was. We woke each day to discover in what way our CinC had embarrassed us, undercut our allies, denigrated our military service, used us as cheap political props, pardoned war criminals, or praised our enemies. From that first day when he stood at CIA HQ, in front of those anonymous stars, and lied and argued with reporters about his crowd size, it only got worse. He undercut our allies endlessly, yet, oddly, never once managed a critique or verbal slip when praising Putin. At Helsinki he stood beside Putin and sided with the Kremlin over the U.S. intel community. He publicly dismissed CIA reports in order to help a friendly dictator cover up murder. He used the power of the presidency to target legitimate whistleblowers (and their Families ffs!) and individual citizens for just doing their job honestly.

My wife just returned from a tour of German Saturday markets.

The Nazis are coming to power over there and this is helping them. The Far Right works together: terrorists feed each other at everyone else's expenses.

I wish all the populations of the world would just rise up and do a Night of the Long Knives on their own.
 
Sounds like this guy was a 50 year old Saudi doc who has lived there since 2006 and was no longer a Muslim

This guy apparently did this because he was mad at Germans for their continual allowance of Muslim immigrants (as an ex Saudi Muslim). Sounds like he worked a lot with Muslim female refugees and I’m wondering if their mistreatment is what opened his eyes to the fact his religion is disgusting

he’s like the Nazi version of Clayton bigsby!
