Heavyweight boxing champion turned Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko says he is ready "to take up arms" defending Ukraine against a feared Russian invasion.

The burly 50-year-old also used an interview at his mayoral office -- decorated with one of his world title belts -- to accuse his former training ground Germany of failing to back Ukraine at its time of dire need.

"I am ready to take up arms and fight," Klitschko told AFP.

On the same day, Russia rolled its tanks across neighbouring Belarus for live-fire drills that revved up worries the Kremlin was readying plans to attack Ukraine.

"I go to a shooting range. I can fire from almost any weapon," Klitschko said.

Tankies and Nazis are both willing to use authoritarianism to achieve their goals. Poots is an authoritarian, so it's natural both sets of extremists would be sympathetic to his methods. *shrug*
 
These aren't tankies, these are just Lefties who hate the US and the Capitalist bloc so much they don't see any moral difference between a Capitalist Ukraine and a Russian invasion. They think both are equal violations of Ukrainian sovereignty.

That's a long way from tankies who would refuse to admit a communist occupation of a country was undemocratic or even an invasion.

I'm not even sure who tankies could sincerely defend anymore. Cuba or, stretching it, Venezuela. There are no commies left anywhere else.
