The "Complain About ESPN" Thread

ESPN running out of fluff pieces. "Urban Mayer signed a contract with his family to eat 3 meals a day and not answer the phone during church or dinner. He even golfed with his son."
Shouldn't they be like covering sports?? There's plenty of college volleyball action going on out there.

They had that on during College Gameday last week.

Re: The "Complain About ESPN" Thread

I'm coming down on ESPN's side at this point. If the NHL wants to burn two seasons in a decade, they're not worth coverage.

I see your point, but then I think about the NBA lockout, and NFL lockout, and then look at their coverage on those leagues. It was embarrassing.

Watching SportsCenter as I finish work and Buccigross is PO'ed. He talked about how the sport is ignored in coverage and the CliffNotes version of what the lockout is about. Methinks someone is getting suspended for his comments.

Why do you keep watching Sportscenter when all you've done is complain about it for the past three years? Again, you're just as much of the problem as ESPN itself is. As for Buccigross, he's free to leave the network any time he wishes.

It was in at work as the other editors have control of the Tv.

Re: The "Complain About ESPN" Thread

Watching SC and apparently Tim Tebow's post game tweet was important enough to the story of Florida's victory over LSU to mention.

Guess they hadn't mentioned Tebow in 12 hours or something...

Re: The "Complain About ESPN" Thread

Seriously, just turn to ESPN to read the ticker. It's about the only thing worth watching on that station. And it's about the only time I turn to that station (besides knowing that a meltdown post-game interview is going to happen, see: GB/SEA a couple weeks ago).
